Oh, where to begin! Family sessions are special. Super special. Why? Because kids grow up so fast and it's hard to freeze time and capture the little moments you'll want to remember forever. I don't have kids of my own (yet), but I have a niece and nephew that change every time I see them. It's amazing and great and sad all at the same time. I want them to stay little forever. But because they can't, I want to capture them on camera when I can so I can always have photos to look back on.
This brings me to this mommy and me session that took place the weekend before Mother's Day. I met my sister and her two little kiddos I am fortunate enough to call my niece and nephew, and we shot around for an hour. I am so happy with how these pictures turned out, and I'm even happier my sister was in the photos with them. As a mom, she's always the one behind the camera (or iPhone) snapping pictures of her kids. Rarely is she in photos with them. I'm so glad I was able to capture her interacting with her little ones. These candid moments are moments I cherish and hope she does too.
