Amy + Arias | Wedding

5.27.18

I've known Amy since college. We both went to St. Cloud State University and had a few mutual friends. As soon as she got engaged I knew I wanted to photograph her wedding, and luckily, I was able to. Amy is literally the sweetest girl you will ever meet and is the definition of calm, cool and collected. And Arias? Well, let's just say he's her perfect match. He is so kind and only wants to make Amy happy. To him, that's all that matters. The two of them together...ugh, nothing beats it. It melts my heart. They radiate love. And I felt it as soon as we met for their engagement photos. And on their wedding day, I (and everyone else) had all the feels.

I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart for letting me capture their big day. From the first look tears to ending the night with the two of them sharing a cup of ice cream (yes, they had an ice cream bar for dessert!), it was a day I will never forget and want to relive over and over again. Cheers to marriage Amy and Arias!

q & a with the couple:

Share how (or why) you chose your wedding venue(s):

We chose the Minneapolis Event Centers because it's close to where we got engaged (Stone Arch Bridge) & in the Saint Anthony Main area of Minneapolis that we both love. The venue also has a lot of old brick incorporated with modern/industrial elements that we love. It is a pretty venue without having to do a lot of decorating ourselves.

Describe the look/feel you are trying to achieve for your wedding? What decorations will you have?

Bohemian, laid back, but elegant feel. We are having minimal decorations (mostly eucalyptus/greenery and gold candles/decorations).

What has been your favorite part of the planning process?

Arias says he never wants to hear the word "wedding" again... so I think the thought of wedding planning coming to an end is his favorite part ;) (hehe). We are both not big planners, but we have enjoyed planning for all of our friends & family to come together to celebrate our marriage :).
