Calley + Andrew | Wedding

6.2.18

So Calley and Andrew's wedding was a backyard wedding fairytale. Literally, they transformed a shed into a magical wedding venue that many (including myself) would dream of getting married at. I told them (multiple times) throughout the day they should keep their shed decorated and rent it out for weddings...and I wasn't kidding.

Ok, ok, ok enough about the location and more about the couple and their big day. These two are one of the most laid back couples there is. They like to have a good time and definitely don't stress about the small stuff. Like rain on their wedding day. To them, no biggie. And I totally agree because rain means clear umbrellas – one of my favorite wedding day props when the weather doesn't cooperate. They add a little something extra to the photo in the cutest way possible. See for yourself below annnnnd get to know the couple a little more as you scroll.

q & a with the couple:

Share how (or why) you chose your wedding venue(s):

We wanted comfort. You really can't get more comfortable than the family farm across the street.

Describe the look/feel you are trying to achieve for your wedding? What decorations will you have?

The decor will be a lot of greenery, metals and wood. The venue is a pole barn, which is on the more literal end of 'rustic' but will have café lighting draped (inside and outside). In addition, there are some chandeliers and a ton of candles. So the feel: a dressed-up casual, comfortable, romantic all thrown together.

What has been your favorite part of the planning process?

Collaboration with family and friends. The backyard venue is a lot more work, but being able to personalize and make decisions has been fun. Also, my bachelorette weekend will be a really close second for best day ever.

What is your most valuable piece of advice you can share with future couples?

Never give up on the right person. Real love is rarely convenient, but always worth it.
