Corey + Kelly | Wedding

Explain your love story:

One of our first dates we went on was to Minnehaha Falls and it was actually where we got our first photo together "as boyfriend and girlfriend." Little did I know that Corey knew early on in the relationship this was where he was going to propose...exactly two years later!

What is your go-to date as a couple?

Fancy night: 6-Smith in Wayzata - hands down. Fun night: West End - start with sushi at Crave, margaritas at Rojo and end with games at Punch Bowl Social.

Share how (or why) you chose your wedding venue(s).

We used to live in the Warehouse district of Minneapolis and love the industrial feel. Machine Shop is also beautifully simple, and with the greenery and floral decorations, it gives us the exact look of the whimsical and romantic feel we were going for with staying true to what we both love about Minneapolis.

What advice would you give to couples planning a wedding?

We heard it all the time, but just take time to enjoy being engaged. Right when it happens, you're so excited to begin all the planning, but before you know it, it will be over. Take your time, look at options, and really focus on what YOU TWO want, not your family or friends or anyone else.

What has been your favorite part of the planning process?

Sitting down together and coming up with things we both like - it can also be a challenge, don't get me wrong, but so worth it. And seeing it all come together is truly magical and a once in a lifetime opportunity!

What's the best relationship/marriage advice you have received?

Always be grateful for the little things.
