asked questions

How long have you been doing photography? I started my business officially in March 2017 and went full-time in November 2017. With my business aside, I have been “doing” photography for about eight years. I started shooting in high school and turned my hobby and passion into a career that I love more than anything.

How would you describe your style? I would say my editing style is warm, bright, earthy and natural (think skintones and overall coloring). And when it comes to shooting, my approach is on the candid, documentary side.

What equipment do you use? Do you shoot film or digital? I have a Canon Mark III and various lenses. I also have a backup Canon Mark III and flash for weddings. I only shoot digital.

Do you travel for sessions and weddings outside of Minnesota? YES! Travel is always welcome in my world. I would love nothing more to work with you to bring whatever your vision is to life and never limit limit myself to only local clients. I have special pricing available for both out of state sessions and weddings, so just reach out and I will be in touch with all of the details.

How long does it take to receive photos? I know what it’s like to wait on seeing your photos. Because of that, I really work hard on a quick turnaround. I like to post sneak peeks within a week (usually just a couple of days) on social media. Then full galleries for sessions [engagement, family, maternity, newborn] are typically delivered in about about 2 weeks and weddings are typically delivered in 4-6 weeks.

How do I receive photos? And how many photos do you deliver? I deliver all of my photos via online gallery where you are able to order prints and download the images. As far as number of photos, my range for hour long sessions is 150-200 and weddings are 900+ depending on hours of coverage.

How far out do you book sessions/weddings? For booking anything, the sooner the better. If you have a particular date and/or season you’re wanting your session, reach out as soon as possible. Typically, I like to book out 2-3 months in advance as dates fill up fast, but I’ve also booked sessions a week ahead of time. And for weddings, I book about a year to a year in a half in advance. If this doesn’t align with your plans, always reach out just in case there’s an opening whether it’s a session or your wedding.

For weddings, how many do you book each year? I only take on 20-25 weddings each year so I can fully provide for my clients.

How do I book a session/reserve our wedding date? Fill out my contact form and I will be in touch as soon as possible. Upon getting your inquiry, I will follow up with more pricing and session/wedding details. To reserve a particular date, I require a signed electronic contract and a 50% non-refundable retainer.
